Almost two months after AIT launched its no-cost and ad-free web hosting service, it launched a free dedicated hosting solution that offers 2,000 GB of data transfer and 80 GB of space plus a free shopping cart and the a feature that allows for hosting numerous domains for a year.
AIT is a web hosting provider and domain registrar that features a wide range of hosting plans for various businesses.
This is a limited time offer launched by AIT in order to improve consumer awareness for its core services and products. The service will also help promote the company’s search engine, tyBit.com. AIT’s free hosting packages have so far been successful as springboards for the sale of other complementary services under the company.
It is already a given that a company should offer a free plan with today’s business climate, says Sean McCoy, chief marketing officer for AIT. He further said that the company is satisfied with the kind of response that its products are getting. The offering is another opportunity for AIT to introduce itself, its services and its products while at the same time demonstrating just what tyBit can do.
AIT launched its package line of free small business hosting plans in early July. The package plans provided 10 GB of web space, 500 GB of data transfer and a thousand email accounts. This also provided additional benefits such as site builders for creating web presence and web statistics analysis to keep track of the site’s performance. Because of the success and popularity of the package, AIT has decided to extend the offer and added free dedicated hosting packages in order to enhance the benefits of this strategy.
When asked about the motivation behind the free service offerings, AIT CEO Clarence Briggs explained that there is a good chance that free hosting packages may cease to be limited time offers. This is why the company opted to stay a step ahead of the trend.
